The origins of non-toxic, negative ion producing Pheylonian Beeswax Candles goes back to the earliest of civilizations. The art of making pure beeswax candles has been passed from generation to generation and has always been treasured and preserved by the Philoxians. The Philoxians ~ meaning "lovable strangers" ~ are an ancient high mountain Carpathian people who have been the bearers of good fortune throughout the eras.
Early in the 1900's, millions of Ukrainian Gypsies and high mountain people were being annihilated for their lands. Iilah's Baba (grandmother) who was a medicine woman and elder, struggled to save a small group of her Philoxian clan. The journey of these ancient high mountain people led them from the Carpathian Mountains to the European coast and then to Canada by boat.
Unable to carry many items on their journey, Iilah's Baba came to Canada, possessing two ancient Mandalian easter eggs, a jar of sourdough culture and the remains of a few candles made from cappings beeswax.
As a youth, Iilah began learning the art of candle making and natural healing. Fifty years later Pheylonian Production Kohr is producing the widest variety of the finest quality natural candles throughout the world.

This industry is estimated to be worth several billions of dollars a year if you take into account the many valuable products related to beekeeping including: beeswax for candles, hobbies, industrial applications, cosmetics and healing salves, as well as honey and pollen for nutritional food supplementing. Propolis and bee venom are also being researched for their health benefits.
